Superlative Adjectives (2)

 

With superlative adjectives, you have to use the + most/-est.

With superlative adjectives, you don’t use the word “than.”

 

  • Wrong: My dog is biggest dog. (x)
  • Right: My dog is the biggest dog.

 

  • Wrong: My dog is the biggest than your dog. (x)
  • Right: My dog is the biggest dog.
  • Right: My dog is bigger than your dog.

 

Fix the mistakes in the sentences below.

 

1. Yesterday was hottest day of the year.

2. Yesterday was hottest than today.

3. Elle is most considerate girl in the class.

4. My mother is the more responsible person in our family.
