A classic competitive flashcard game that kids love!
Directions:
Starting at one side of the classroom, have two students stand up. Then, show them a flashcard, and the first student to say it correctly moves on to the next student (the losing student sits down). The goal is to go “around the world”, reading the flashcards without being beaten and thus returning to the desk where you started.
This is a good warm-up or review exercise. You might find that one particular student wins all the time. If this is the case, you can assign that student to be the teacher, and you can take a seat and observe!
