ESL Grammar: How to Use Adjectives with Nouns

Adjectives usually come before the nouns they describe. They can also follow a linking verb to describe the subject of the sentence.

Examples:

• Beautiful flowers are blooming in the garden. (adjective before the noun)
• The sky is blue. (adjective after the linking verb)
