ESL Grammar: Forming Questions in the Past Tense
To ask questions in the past tense, use the auxiliary verb “did” followed by the base form of the main verb. The structure for forming past tense questions is:
Structure:
- Did + Subject + Base Form of the Verb?
Examples:
- Did you eat breakfast this morning?
- Did she go to the store yesterday?
